Kopp Motorsports to debut new combination, new sponsors in 2011
Team will compete for the Quick 32 Sportsman Series Championship in Top Dragster
Burlington, ON (February 25, 2011) – As the 2011 season quickly approaches, preparations are in full swing for the Kopp Motorsports drag racing team as it prepares to enter its first full season of competition in the Quick 32 Sportsman Series presented by NAPA Auto Parts.
The team, led by owner and driver Rick Kopp, will introduce a new major sponsor to the world of drag racing.
“These guys are really excited to be onboard with our program and are looking forward to utilizing every marketing advantage drag racing has to offer.” said Kopp. “Although the sponsorship is completely finalized, an official announcement won’t be made until closer to our first event.”
Also new for the 2011 season is a potent drivetrain upgrade in the 2001 Mike Bos built dragster.

CAYUGA, ONTARIO (February 18, 2011) – This new drag racing series will provide a venue for motorcycle and snowmobile racers to compete on a professional and well-organized level, and showcase the popularity of these racing machines.
For the 2011 season, the PBSS has scheduled six events, with a substantial payout for each event winner, along with prize money for the yearly championship.

Patio Passport returns with racer incentives for Quick 32 Sportsman Series and PMRA 2011 season
Drag race series to receive contingency and championship points awards
WOODBRIDGE, ONTARIO (February 16, 2011) – Patio Passport will return to the Quick 32 Sportsman Series for 2011, offering special bonus awards in the Championship Points Award Series.
Patio Passport is also involved with the companion drag race series, the Pro Modified Racing Association in providing awards for the PMRA’s Championship Point Award Series.
“We are very pleased Patio Passport has returned to the Quick 32 Sportsman Series and the PMRA for the upcoming season,” said Bruce Mehlenbacher, Director of Operations for both of the popular racing venues. “With the valuable help of Paul Delicata we have been able to offer our competitors another aspect in our racing.”
Patio Passport’s Delicata, a former drag racer himself, not only provides awards to both series, he is heavily involved in the sport as a team owner with one of the Quick 32 Sportsman Series entries.

Big-block powered Dodge Daytona Top Sportsman gets transmission and chassis updates
WATERDOWN, ONTARIO (February 9, 2011) – The car may look the same when it takes to the drag strip in Quick 32 Sportsman Series presented by NAPA Auto Parts competition this year, but the underneath of the B&W Racing Patio Passport 1994 Dodge Daytona is entirely new.
“The car will look the same,” said owner/driver Mike Wagg, but there will be all the difference under the car.”
After a racing incident last year, Wagg and fellow owners Dave Bell and Paul Delicata decided to rebuild the chassis of the Top Sportsman entry, and Wagg added the car is just about complete.
“We just got the car back,” he said. “It’s now ready for powder-coating the chassis and then getting the body painted.”
