K&K / CVR TEAM looking to get back on track at The Bend

STRATFORD, ONTARIO (June 24, 2010) – After a disappointing first round exit at the first Quick 32 Sportsman Series event of the season, the K&K/CVR Race Team is looking to get back into the Championship Point Award Series chase at the in Grand Bend Motorplex this weekend.

With its newly-acquired support of CVR Inc. the K&K Team will be part of the RPM Magazine Family PowerFest & Media Weekend. This will be the second of six races for the Quick 32 Sportsman Series presented by NAPA Auto Parts for the 2009 Series Champions.

CVR Inc. has been an associate partner of the team for a number of years but has stepped up its support as a major partner in 2010. Team driver Kevin Wicke is looking forward to this weekend.

“Bruce Robillard and everyone at CVR has been great to us for a number of years, noted Wicke. “I am pleased that they felt our program is worth the investment. They make great parts and are an industry leader with their products.”

The K&K/CVR Team will also be supporting Patio Passport for the next couple events. Following an unfortunate incident at Grand Bend the Patio Passport Dodge of Dave Bell and Mike Wagg is out of service. They along with Al Hinds and his Castrol Pro Modified Corvette will be sporting the Patio Passport logo on the cars.

“Dave and Mike are like teammates to both teams and we are just trying to help them out as much as we can”, said K&K Crew Chief Kevin Zimmer.

The K&K /CVR Team is supported by family and friends as well as marketing partners; CVR Inc., Perth Auto Dismantlers, Fraser Paving, Bear’s Performance Products, Ron’s Precision Machine, Skully Bros. Fabrication, Fram Canada and Hutch’s Transmission.

At the RPM Magazine Family PowerFest & Media Weekend three qualifying sessions will take place Saturday, June 26 and eliminations are scheduled to begin Sunday, June 27.
